A Backpack Project in Remembrance of Krissy
Donation protected
Krissy's passion and energy to teach and create meaningful relationships with all children guided the work she did everyday. The love she brought to the classroom as a first grade teacher and the leadership she brought to her school, filled students and colleagues with enthusiasm for learning and hope for excellence in education.
In keeping with her passion, energy, and love for children and teaching, the family asks that monetary remembrance donations be made to support Krissy's Backpack Project. All money will be used to fund the purchase of backpacks, school and food supplies for children in need at the Downeast School in Bangor, ME.
All additional funds above and beyond the backpack project will be used specifically to benefit current and former students of the Downeast School. We have heard ideas from Krissy's former colleagues from her school on how we can accomplish this. This is a work in progress, but all plans would be to honor Krissy's memory and directly benefit the children of the school.
Your generous donations will make a difference in the children of Downeast Schools lives and will help forever honor and preserve Krissy's memory.
