AleXander C Hughes Memorial -Slater
Donation protected
A few months ago my brother D. Christopher Hughes lost his little girl CL after a long battle. She was a heart baby. She's in heaven. Yesterday his one and half year old son Alexander Christopher Hughes or as his daddy calls him Slater, lost the same fight after his open heart surgery a week ago and is now in heaven dancing and playing with his precious sister. I can't imagine the pain Slater's Daddy is feeling. He's lost two precious babies in less than six months.
I am asking for help to try and raise funds for necessary funeral arrangements and expenses they may have. Any amount whether big all small is appreciated but first and formost please send your prayers for peace and comfort as he and his daugher Jazzy got through this difficult time for a second time. Prayers for Mommy Carissa and Big brother. The hardest thing in life is losing your baby. AleX was a Hero with a SuperHero Mom!!
Below is what Chris wrote yesterday:
This is my son Alexander Christopher Hughes. I call him Slater. He had his 3rd heart surgery on Thursday. He had some complications and things didn't go our way. Slater left us this afternoon. He was only a year and a half old. Parents are not supposed to outlive their children. That's not the natural order of things. Slater is a special kid. Just like his sister he touched a lot of lives. We just lost his sister all of 6 months ago. It's amazing how these little innocent lives can impact so many people. His mom said something to me the other day that really got me. She said when it look like things were about to go sideways she told me that," if he leaves us he'll get to be with his sister. So maybe they need each other." Don't take your life or anyone you love lives for granted. If you love somebody tell them. Hold them and treasure them. Make sure they know how special they are to you. Because you never know when that may be taken from you. Slater is a special kid. He's my son. I'm so grateful I developed a bond with him. I love you Slater. #powerwithprecision #heartwarrior #heartbroken #strong #prouddad #lvac #iam #warrior #healing
Thank you Family, Friends, and all who love AleX!! I didn't get a chance to meet him, hold or kiss him but feel absolutely in love with him. I can't imagine those who did.
Thank you so much for the love and many prayers being sent toward the family!!
