Get Erica Rolling in an Electric Wheelchair
Donation protected
I need a wheelchair! One that I can use without assistance: an electric wheelchair.
In 2016 I got sick and no one knew what was wrong with me. Finally, this year, I received my diagnoses. Five, in fact, ME/CFS, POTS, EDS, MCAS, and Disautonomia. This combination of illnesses mean that I can no longer stand or walk for more than a few feet without collapsing. I've been using a manual wheelchair for a few months now with an assistant, but I'd love to have the mobility to go to museums or "walks" (rolls) on my own again.
In order to do that, I need an electric wheelchair that fits in my car and can be lifted in and out by someone of average strength (not me!). After a LOT of research, this is the only one that meets my physical and mobility needs:

With all the options I need (headrest, elevating footrests, attendent control) the total cost is $4,235.00. If you could help me get closer to that, I'd appreciate it!
