Mark Davidson is forty four years old and needs a heart transplant.
Mark lives with his wife, Bridget and their 7 year old son Darrigan, in Gilbert Arizona a suburb of Phoenix. They have three older children, syblings, that they adopted. Monique, Marcus, and Michael who no longer live with them at home.
Mark has been 100% disabled for almost two years after going to the ER with life threatening conditions. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. It has been determined he inherited this genetically from his Mother who has passed away. She received a heart transplant and survived many years.
Mark was accepted for Social Security disability nearly two years ago but it does not provide him with medical insurance. May 1, 2017 he will be covered by Medicare.
I am asking for funds to help with his affordable healthcare insurance premiums for four months and the $13,000 deductable. This will get him to May 1st when he will be covered by Medicare. The transplant team requires proof of medical insurance and your deductible to be met in order to move up on the transplant list. Otherwise 50% of the total transplant cost is required. That amount would be approx 1 Million dollars.
Darrigan, Marks son, needs genetic testing to determine if this gene has been passed on to him. I am guessing that the portion he will need pay for this will be a minimum of $3,000 dollars.
