ALN-Connect - Supporting Families with Additional Needs

The Origins of ALN Connect
Our Support and Advocacy Group started as a group of Unpaid Carers meeting for a Coffee, moral support, share experiences and cake.
As our online presence and reputation grew, the demand for our services has also. Where all our support used to revolve around a Town outside of Swansea, now our support is sought in three Counties and the demand for expansion still keeps coming.
Myself and Keri, typically "Consult" with between 5-10 families a week to offer support such as advice and advocacy, moral support, referral to a Therapeutic Councillor for help and other holistic interventions.
However, the running of this essential service does come at a cost, local businesses have been amazing at supporting us and small pots of funding from local Councils and Swansea Voluntary Services help us but we are always eternally grateful for donations as the project is continually evolving to support our communities needs and demand for our service from vulnerable families.
With your essential donations we can continue to provide the support for parents and children alike by providing activities that bring us together along with children's activities that offer a short respite for parents and fun bonding activities for children who are frequently overlooked in mainstream activities.
Our Strengths are, we are all Parents and Unpaid Carers of ALN and Disabled Children, we understand the struggles, challenges and general ignorance of our childrens' issues. To that effect, we try to remove the stigma of Neurodiversity and other disabilities with everything we do.
We need to keep this project going, building a network for parents, for children and for our futures. Any donations would be gratefully appreciated.
