A Vision For Life- Hungary 2015

I have been accepted to a program called A Vision For Life  which is a 6 week discipleship program  based in Vajta, Hungary, My time there will be spent in taking Bible courses and then applying what I learned in the classroom out on the field in several outreaches through Hungary and neighboring countries.  I  received the acceptance letter Sunday, May 3rd and since then I have spent two days thinking of how to best explain why I would love your prayers and support on this summer to a different country. I went back to the application form that I filled out and this is what I think will best explain my heart to you. I pray you will read this with an open mind and open heart. Why do you desire to attend?

I recently finished the book of Ecclesiastes and I found myself in Solomon's understanding of life. That it is a vapor passing away in a blink of an eye and as I grasp this understanding more and more I am met with the reality that I want to serve with my life. Not just on Sunday or Wednesday service but I want my life to model the God I love. I do not believe that there is anything wrong or not honorable/glorifying to use my talents that God has given me to lead His people into a time of praise and worship but I believe for me personally it is just a season of change and growth. I welcome this change and this urgency to seek God with ALL I am and have. I want to continue to lose my life for Him in order to find who I was intended to be. I want to live life in a moment to moment basis with the mentality of "if God came back right now how would I be furthering the Kingdom for Him?" I have asked myself this question for a few weeks now and the answer that I have found is "I want to be serving Him."

Why I wish to come to AVFL:

I am turning twenty-five on June 3rd, I do not regret any of the decisions that I made that have brought me to where I am now because God used my actions to help me learn and grow. He showed me His grace, His forgiveness, and His relentless love for me through them all. I sit here applying for AVFL because I want a summer of revelation. Forty days of seeking God with every second of my life so that as I enter this next stage of adult hood I am solely invested in being about my Father’s plans on earth and not trying to impress or fit into the mold of what the world calls good and acceptable for my life but that I model the Paul’s, the Peter’s, the David’s, the Ruth’s that I have read about through the Bible who all point us back to the one who matters the most Jesus-God-Our Heavenly Father. This is my desire.

I have set up a "gofundme" because I need your support. There is a $2,300 fee for the six week program. (This covers housing, meals, and transportation costs.) BUT that does not include airfare***I have sent in a $200.00 nonrefundable deposit because I have no doubt that my God can and will get me there.  I understand not ALL who read this will be able to donate but please do not let that discourage or prevent you from sharing this page whether it is on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other accounts.  I am arriving at Budapest, Hungary on June 20th, 2015 and would like to have at least half of the funds raised by the end of May. I know to some this sounds impossible and even crazy of me to ask but I promise you that just like you I am stepping out in faith that God has already written and planned out this journey before me.
