Austin Bond Brain Tumor Fund (Surgery & Treatment)
Donation protected
I really want to thank everyone for checking on us. We are pretty heartbroken about the news we received yesterday.
So there are two layers that protect the brain. Cancer can cross through, but it’s hard for drugs to. When Austin had the brain tumors 2 years ago, that was essentially the first layer and it was a miracle then that the drugs were able to even penetrate the first layer. Well, the melanoma has now invaded the second layer - the layer virtually impossible for drugs to penetrate because there is too much to cross through. There aren’t many good options to combat this. Because this is so rare there’s hardly any data on it, but we’ve heard this song before. On top of this, austin has pneumonia. It’s a lot to take in at once. It’s a lot of trauma at once. We need a couple of days to adjust to the news, process it, and get back into the fight. These next few weeks are full of tests, surgeries, probably tears, and miracle praying. Please please please keep our tiny family in your prayers!!
