Aberystwyth Surf Lifesaving Fundraiser

Aberystwyth Surf Lifesaving Club has been educating the local community about water safety awareness since 1963. We are made up of a team of dedicated volunteers from within the local community who feel passionate about enjoying the beach environment that Aberystwyth and the surrounding areas have to offer and want to help keep those using the water safe. Our voluntary service has resulted in the qualification of many young lifeguards most of whom have gone on to work for the RNLI.

Equipment for the club is not cheap. A full-size rescue board costs over £1000! In order to keep our club running we are asking for funding to repair and replace old equipment. To celebrate 60 years of the club we are asking for your support, to ensure that the club can continue for another 60 years!

In the last few years alone dozens of our members have gone on to become local RNLI lifeguards, regularly saving lives and keeping the beaches of Ceredigion safe for all during the summer months.
