The Adankwame Water Project
Donation protected
Zach and Gabe Raley will be traveling to Ghana this summer with Augustine Boadi to address the urgent need for clean and reliable water. Augie is from a small village in Ghana called Adankwame. The lack of water has become a crisis situation for the community.
Currently, the people of Adankwame depend on inconsistent and unsanitary water sources, such as the river or rain, often leading to shortages and unsafe drinking conditions.
Furthermore, given the water is hard to obtain, it is often reused within a household and can contain bacteria causing many sanitation issues. These sanitation issues are illustrated by the fact that 25% of child deaths are due to disease from contaminated water.
To ensure we can provide safe and consistent water to the people who need it most, we have partnered with local contractors and will work with them in Ghana, to drill a borehole (similar to a well).
Funding the borehole and the collection devise is expensive and will take a village to get this done. From one village to another, we hope you will support this humanitarian project.
