Dedicating a trail in memory of Deborra Hope

As an iconic journalist and anchor with Global BC, as well as an ambassador of numerous charities, she touched the hearts of so many people and filled our evenings with smiles and laughter for decades.

Deborra was more than a news anchor; she was a beacon of trust and compassion for viewers across the province. With her distinct voice and genuine smile, she brought comfort to living rooms, delivering news with grace and integrity. Her commitment to journalism went beyond reporting the facts; she understood the power of storytelling and its ability to connect people.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Deborra's legacy lies in her kindness and compassion. She touched the lives of countless individuals with her genuine interest in their stories, listening to their triumphs and challenges with empathy. Her love for her viewers and dedication to serving them will forever be remembered.

Although Deborra's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, including her husband, Roger and beautiful daughters and grandchildren, her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched.

This GFM is to raise funds to adopt Deborra's favourite trail in Anmore, where she would often walk her dog. A plaque dedicated to Deborra will be mounted along this trail that meanders through the forested community she called home for so long.
