In Loving Memeory of Adrian St John

Dear all,

I am writing to you as a mother who is passionate about trying to support young people navigate their way through the challenges of modern living and achieve their full potential. My son Adrian St John was murdered aged 22, and so never got to realise his dreams https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/apr/12/promising-young-british-cricketer-shot-dead-in-trinidad

The circumstances of this murder have led me, with the support of family and friends, to start the Adrian St John Foundation. https://adrianstjohnfoundation.org/

The Adrian St John Foundation aims to provide opportunities to encourage and support young men and women to have self-belief, direction and focus, to stay on the right path of life’s difficult journey; despite their individual surroundings or circumstances. We believe discipline and persistence are key elements to achieving goals; hence our focus on sport. We believe that by focusing on sport, and the associated discipline that is inherent in sport, children can be positively redirected from making bad decisions that too often leads to criminal activities.

We want to help those directly and indirectly affected by youth crime. Supporting not only the perpetrator, but also the perpetrators family, the victim(s) and victims’ family.

It is my sincere hope that you can join me turning this dream into reality and help the foundation make a difference, and change lives. If you would like to help us achieve our initial target of raising £4500, please donate.

Thank you.

Sharon St John.
