Help rebuild our lives after the tragic loss of Karolina

My name is Dilcia, a single mother of two children - Trevor and Karolina. It is with great sadness that I must share the tragic news of my daughter Karolina's passing in a house fire on September 8, 2024.

Karolina, a 12-year-old nonverbal autistic child, was truly extraordinary. Her unexpected loss has not only left me devastated, but has also resulted in the loss of our home and everything we owned, including the online boutique that I operated from our house. Karolina's boutique, which was founded by Karolina with her deep passion for fashion, art, and design, was a manifestation of her creativity and communication.

I had been working from home for the past few years to provide for Karolina's various needs, including therapy, as well as to pursue a PhD in psychology. Unfortunately, the lack of insurance coverage for our property and business has now left Trevor and myself homeless and without any assets.

We are fundraising to rebuild our lives after this devastating loss.
