My name is Alaa from Palestine, specifically from Rafah. My family, my kids (Jannat, 11 years old; Yaqeen, 8 years old; Mohammed, 6 years old; Kayan, 5 months old)

and my wife—have become engulfed in the war that erupted on October 7th. The bombing, destruction, starvation, and displacement have become our harsh reality, which pushed us, after the attack on Rafah, to make the painful decision to evacuate Gaza in search of safety. Gaza, which was once a place we called home, has turned into an uninhabitable environment. The essential elements of life, such as shelter, food, and security, have been stripped away. After, my house was bombed, Gaza is no longer safe.

I look to work towards building a new life for my family, away from the specter of war, destruction, and continuous killing.

Today, I am reaching out to you not just as a father, but as someone paving the way towards a brighter future. My ambition is to evacuate my family to a place where we can rebuild and be free from the shadows of the destruction that haunt our beloved Gaza. So, I am seeking your support through this campaign with the goal of raising £70,000. The increased goal of £70,000 will allow for a more comprehensive approach to ensuring the welfare and stability of my family. As a firm believer in transparency, the funds will primarily be allocated to ensuring the evacuation of my family outside Gaza. This includes travel expenses, visa fees, transportation costs, and other related expenses. The goal will enable us to seek safer and more reliable means of transportation and accommodation, ensuring a smoother transition for my family.

A significant portion of the funds will be dedicated to covering initial living expenses in our new destination. This includes rent, utilities, groceries, and other essential items necessary for daily sustenance. The expanded campaign goal will provide us with the financial support needed to reach a safe haven and focus on rebuilding our lives.

Education remains a top priority for my children.
