Alfonse - Let's Ease His Worries

My name is Brooke Makowsky. I'm a friend of Alfonse Morales and have been for over 20 years.
He injured his pec muscle working out, he ended up having pain for about 2 weeks and finally went to the ER, they found an abcess and went into remove it and they found the MRSA in his clavical/collar bone joint, they had to remove muscle and tissue. He is waiting for his 2nd surgery to repair this.
He was in the hospital from Sept. 30 to October 15. Now he is at home without the help of nursing care. He has a PIC line in his arm to administor his antibiotics, which he is doing himself and a vacuum pump in his chest, to heal the wound and also to keep the bone moist. He has to go to the doctor every other day to have the vac change and cleaned. He's driving himself to these appointments.
On Friday, this happened....Vancomiacin is a strong antibiotic if there is too much in your blood it can destroy your kidney . There was too much in his blood. Dr said don't take till Monday, he broke out in an all over body rash and they are trying to find another antibiotic for him to take in the meantime.
He can not have the repair surgery until this MRSA is under control, he is still in a very fragile state.
Now Alfonse has no insurance and no income at this time, he's maxed out cards. They are holding his job as long as possible but he still doesn't have an income to help with expenses.
Alfonse Morales is one of the most amazing guys I know, he would do anything for anyone. He has been a family friend for over 20 years and I'm doing this because we all need help sometimes and I know how lonely and how hard recovery of something this serious can be. This seems the only thing I can do to help besides the #1 thing PRAYER!!! I'm just hoping this spreads the word for prayer, for him and for his precious parents that are traveling back and forth. And if you are led to help him financially in any way, it's greatly appreciated.
