I am the aunt of, Alisha Hill, she had recently graduated and received her MRI Tech licenses and landed a job as an MRI Tech., were she was working for less than 3 months when this incident happened, so she hadn't recieved insurance coverage from her job yet. on September 03, 2019, my niece was sitting in her home when a stray bullet came threw her front window and hit her in the head, she was home alone, but thank God for some police officers who decided to canvas the block after the shooting and noticed a bullet hole in the window and approached her door and heard some moaning, so they forced there way in, stabilized her and called for an ambulance. She was in a coma and on a ventilator, they had to remove the left side of her skull to release the pressure on her brain, it has been a long journey for us as a family, she has since then come out of the coma and breathing on her own, she was at Christ hospital in Chicago for about 3 weeks, my sister Jackie Hill (her mother) recieved a bill from Christ hospital for over $200,000, she was transferred to The Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, for rehabilitation, her right side has very little movement she can't open her left eye yet, she has a feeding tube, but she is now eating pureed food also, she can say a few words and moves her left side pretty well she is a true blessing, her discharge date from Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, in downtown Chicago is scheduled for 11/19/2019, and we were informed she will need a special bed, a wheel chair, a lift, medicine & supplies, that will range over $1000 a month, just to name a few things. And due to her not having any insurance, (although we applied for insurance) the company's will not give her the items she needs, So we're reaching out to whom ever reads this for any donations toward our love one's recovery.
Jesus says "You have not, cause you ask not", so we're asking and standing in the need of your donations. So our Alisha, can continue to get the care that she needs, and come out of this process 100%.
