Allison (Plummer) Hancock -memorial & family fund

My name is Brooke (Deaver) McCoy, and Allison is one of my dearest friends. She has literally been in the fight of her life over the last several months, battling cirrhosis of the liver. She is currently in the very final stages of home hospice.

Allison is a very private person (understandably) when it comes to her health condition, but she requested that I create this fund as a way to provide some financial relief to her loving family. It was her specific hope that we could raise enough funds to cover her cremation and memorial service, which will be very soon. (Allison selflessly told her family that no memorial service was needed—but the family insists. ❤️ )

After her cremation and funeral costs are covered, any additional funds donated will go towards her family to help with all expenses related to her death, including the fees associated with her apartment and the care of her three precious children (Maynard-14, Jackson-12, and Emma Jane-7). Her children will be moving in with Allison’s lovely sister Ashley (and her family) in Texas.

Unfortunately, Allison has no life insurance or savings. She has always been an incredibly hard worker her entire adult life—working hard in the restaurant business for several years as a single mom - only quitting when her health condition made work impossible.

Her wonderful family has carried the burden of covering her monthly rent and covering all expenses for the family since her illness. Allison is so grateful to her family for their care of her and her children in these moments—giving their all to provide as normal and happy a situation as possible for her and the kids during these past several months.

I am utterly heartbroken over all of this. Allison is as sweet as they come. She has become so dear to me. She is an encourager, a loving and devoted mom, friend, daughter, and sister. She will be missed beyond words—and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for any donation you make. Nothing is too small.
