Allyson Lightburn vs AplasticAnemia
Donation protected
My Name is Nathan Lightburn and I'm raising money for my 2 year old daughter Allyson Lightburn's ongoing medical treatment and home care.
Allyson has always been very energetic, outgoing loves to sing and dance and leaves an everlasting impression on anyone she comes in contact with. 1 month after her 2nd birthday we went for what should have been a routine medical visit, During this visit we were told that we had to have an emergency admission for a possible blood disorder.
Through the course of several admissions, Allyson has had surgery to install a medical port, which is a line that goes directly to the heart for transfusions, and 2 bone marrow biopsy's, which lead to her diagnosis of idiopathic Aplastic Anemia.
Aplastic anemia is a life-threatening illness, its a disorder in which the bone marrow greatly decreases or stops production of blood cells. it only affects 3-5 people in every one million. The only cure is a bone marrow transplant.

ATG Treatment has been given to Allyson and she is currently taking cyclosporine which is an immune suppresssant to allow new cells to grow. Allyson is also receiving weekly blood and platelet transfusions to keep her in stable condition throughout this process.
Allyson's journey is just beginning, however to win this fight against Aplastic Anemia we are asking for your help with homecare, doctors visit , frequent admissions to the hospital for fevers and low blood counts, rising medical expenses, medications, and a possible bone marrow transplant.
Thank you for taking the time to read Allyson's story, and if you can't afford to offer funds, please know that both Allyson and I are grateful just to hear from you and to know that you are thinking of her and wishing her well.![](https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/3942944_1427947797.1474_funddescription.jpg)
