Hey there friends + family!
It's amazing when you choose to follow Jesus into the unknown. You can't see far and you never know what's coming your way, but you know He is there with you through it and it is always good. This year I have been calling it "the year of the unknown," because I don't know what's going to happen, surprises keep popping up and am trusting Jesus through it completely. This is somewhat new for me because I am someone who had a plan of what my life would be after high school. But I learned Jesus knows what's best for me and His plan is wayyyyyyy better than mine.
I guess His best for me is going to Worship U school at Bethel Church in Redding, California! I will be there from July 8 to July 21. If you know me, this is a big deal. Bethel is a big influence for me and I've always wanted to go there. I will be attending Worship U, which is a school that teaches and grows you in worship. I will be going for leading worship, songwriting, and musicianship. There are many different categories though like sound engineering, dance, etc. You can find out more at bethelmusic.com/worshipschool/ .
Long story short, I heard about this school early in the year. But it wasn't until a month or so ago that I felt God was telling me to go. I applied but all the spots were full, so they put me on the waiting list, which was a little disheartening. ( Like why, Jesus, would you tell me to go but it didn't look like it would happen?) After a long time of waiting, I got an email from Bethel just a couple days ago saying I was accepted!
SO where do you all come in?
well, my tuition is already paid. PRAISE!!
But I still need to pay for:
- plane flights to and from California
- housing in Cali
- transportation : a car to get around in Redding
- food: I honestly don't eat a lot and don't eat out, so it will just be necessities. (if you know me, I ration out my food by portions haha)
My family and I estimated it to be around $3,000.
So since this is so last minute, I need funds quickly! If possible, by the end of this week... just ASAP.
I know I'm asking for a lot (and just even asking freaks me out.) But any help toward this dream of mine will be greatly appreciated! I have never done anything like this before because of excuses and allowing fear to hold me back. But no more! I want to be obedient to Jesus for the rest of my life and wherever He leads me. My only goal of my life is to be a bright light beaming in the darkness, leading others to Jesus through the gifts in music He has given me.
Whatever you can give means so much to me.
