No health insurance and needs inpatient PT

Hi everyone. I got the dreaded call late Sunday night 9/27-28/2020 from my son’s roommate saying he found my son Joshua (his last name withheld due to his privacy) unresponsive and turning blue. Thankfully they were at home and he called 911, otherwise my call could have been so much worse.
After a night in the ER they finally got him into the ICU. His oxygen saturation level was in the low 50’s and he had low blood pressure upon admission. He was put on a ventilator to breathe for him and put into a medically induced coma so his lungs could heal.
Tues 9/29/20 when attempting to very slowly wake him, his oxygen again plummeted so they said he needs more time to rest on the ventilator.
Today, Wed 9/30/20, the doctor heard gurgling sounds in his right lung and asked approval to do a bronchoscopy. I of course said yes and I’m waiting to hear the results.
I’ve been preparing myself for a possible long journey, but praying to be wrong and that this nightmare will end soon.
Joshua is self employed and has no sick leave or health insurance. The financial setbacks are going to be astronomical. In the meantime our greatest concern is helping his roommate cover their shared monthly expenses until he recovers. Thank you for reading this. May God Bless you!
ANY amount will be so appreciated!
