Amawom Village Land Erosion

Amawom in Diaspora needs your help! A community of over 200 homes is being ripped apart, literally! Land erosion due to climate change has formed a sink hole that is is increasing in size and is now a large gorge. Because of severe land slip a once thriving community has been separated. Homes, schools, businesses, medical facilities is becoming in accessible to the community. Crossing the gorge is dangerous for children, elderly, mothers with children and attempts to resolve are themselves also dangerous and unsustainable.

Amawom in Diaspora is raising money to fund sustained corrective measures to avoid further threat of destruction to family homes, villagers education and livelihoods. This will include a reinforced bridge crossing that will support the community and keep them safe through the heavy raining season.

A safer and more permanent bridge will need to be built before the raining season, which starts in April. If this does not happen then the community will suffer immensely, large parts will be shut off and become inaccessible. We're running against time!
