An Afghan Interpreter’s Plea

Dear Community,


I am an Afghan American fortunate enough to make it to the US on Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) after serving the Afghan government and the American troops for over 10 years. Local interpreters and civilians involved in the civic rebuilding of Afghanistan are one of the most vulnerable against the Taliban. In raising this Gofundme, I hope to support those now displaced, in desperate financial need. They have lost everything to fighting in their area. One of the numerous challenges they face as the Taliban gain control includes lack of access to the basic food supply. Some of them have submitted the SIV applications and await a response. I have identified and narrowed it down to 20 families who will be assisted through your support. I hope to sustain them as the world comes to save Afghanistan. My relative and friends are in a terrible situation. The money will be distributed to them directly. Please help.
