Hailey and Taylor Clarke Scholarship Fund

Our community lost a pillar of the medical community, Andrea Clarke, on Tuesday January 4 in a tragic car accident in Hobe Sound near her home.

Andrea was a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner who always remembered that being a NURSE came first. She embodied her ICU Intensivist role at Jupiter Medical Center with passion and empathy. She was brilliant and had over the top critical care skills . Every day every patient, every step of the way. She stayed late and did whatever it took to save a life. She was there to help navigate our community through Covid taking care of the sickest and the dying. She did whatever was needed without hesitation. She shared in the triumphs and tears with her patients and families. She knew all their names. She never ever gave up HOPE. Always trying to save them or if it was time for “ end of life talk” with family, she was able to do this, while preserving their loved ones dignity and sense of control.

Her greatest passion was her family. She leaves behind her husband of 21 years, Andrew Clarke and her two girls, Hailey (18) and Taylor (16) Clarke.

Hailey is a sophomore at a Florida college aiming to get her AA degree in Psychology. She plans to complete her Bachelors in Psychology and eventually attend PA school specializing in plastic surgery. Aside from school, Hailey loves being surrounded by her friends and family while engaging in activities such as painting, reading, and spending time outside. Hailey has previously played volleyball for many years on both high school and travel teams. Over the past few years Hailey has volunteered her time at Jupiter Medical Center where her mother had previously worked. Additionally, Hailey has spent a number of Thanksgiving’s serving food to those who do not have it, and has dedicated her summers to volunteering at many volleyball functions and camps.

Taylor is a junior at South Fork High School and is a student in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at the high school, and is currently ranked 6th in her class. She is part of the National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, and Student Government. She plans to graduate with her IB diploma and attend college at a four year university, eventually studying to become an Orthodontist. Taylor is a current member of the South Fork Varsity Volleyball team and has played both travel and school volleyball for many years. Aside from school and sports, Taylor loves being surrounded by her friends and family. Alongside her mom and sister, Taylor volunteered her time serving food to the less fortunate on Thanksgiving every year, as well as being involved in many other volunteering opportunities.

Losing Andrea is a big loss to Palm Beach and Martin Counties as well as her Hobe Sound community. (100% of campaign funds will be placed in an education trust account for Hailey and Taylor. )
