Andrea McArthur Breast Cancer Fund

My name is Andrea and I am battling breast cancer.   A little over 2 years ago, the company I worked for went bankrupt.  Between a pay cut, a furlough and not paying the remaining employees our vacation or retirement when we closed, I lost over a third of my salary the last year.   During that year, I tripped and fell in my garage and shattered my right shoulder.  I could not work for almost a year (with very limited mobility and a plate and 10 pins in my right shoulder).  Once that was somewhat healed, I discovered I had triple negative breast cancer. I have been fighting the cancer with 5 months of chemotherapy, 5 surgeries (the last one being a mastectomy) and now I will need 7 weeks of radiation.  As I was on social security before the shoulder injury,   I was not able to go on disability.  

Unfortunately, my social security and as I am only barely able to have limitte4d access to my annuity, no access to a reverse mortgage, nor an equity line of credit or a refi on my co-op.  The radiology told me that I will go thru 32 treatments 5 days a week of treatment.   The radiologist said I can work during the treatment so now I will start looking for a job.  My hands and feet are still numb from the neuropathy from chemo.  I need temporary help to cover my Medicare supplement payments to fight my very aggressive type of cancer, utilizes, bills and food until I can fcan find a job.


For last year or so, I have been surviving on credit cards, the small allotment of my annuity and social security/  I am aware4 my house payment is considerably less than rent in this are4 and feel my survival depends on continuity with y wonderful doctors and hopeful treatment.  
 

Anything you can afford to contribute would be beyond helpful and I would be so very grateful for.  Your help would mean I could kepe my home, my kitties and have a safe and comfortable place to continue treatment and enjoy the time I have with my family and friends.
