Andrew Needs Our Help!!

Dear fellow Andrew lovers and Tampa karaoke enthusiasts,

Most of y'all already know, but for those who do not, Andrew was assaulted last week outside of the VFW after standing up against a customer who had spouted grotesque racist remarks in Andrew's face whilst wrapped in a confederate flag.

The unidentified bigot completely ambushed and struck Andrew two separate times outside of the bar — there’s footage of how unexpected and unwarranted this was. He suffered a concussion and severe lower jaw and teeth damage that night and is now faced with the shitty medical system that is America. The damage to his face requires immediate and expensive actions from oral surgeons and that is where we come in. Right now he’s choosing the retainer option which is cheaper but will not fix the problems long term (the dentist said if they aren’t able to address the nerve damage, he might not be able to eat hot food again!). If we can afford him the help to get a more decisive procedure which will correct his jaw and ensure there is no nerve damage, then there is hope to regain full functionality with fewer problems down the line.

Andrew is my favorite person in the whole world and has made a million of my bad days turn around from a single phone call, hug, joke, and/or late night porch hang. If you’ve attended any karaoke he’s hosted, you know how much of his heart goes into cultivating an environment where people can have a good time, and his warm, yet lively energy keeps people coming back every week.

I know I am not the only person who shares these sentiments, so I am hoping we can turn this one bad moment around for him and return the favor with some financial support and love.
