Strength, Loving, Intelligent: These are the words i choose to describe my father.
Antelmo Candido Garcia was a hard working man, always provided for his family. He had a tendency of helping strangers in need of assistance, an extra hand to extend for those in need.
Antelmo was the first of his family to leave Mexico in 1984 searching of a better life in America. He found that peace in the United States, establishing a firm foundation for generations to come. Without him the Garcia name wouldn't have; first generations graduates, thriving Mexican family members, home owners and a beacon of honor.
Antelmo was a leader in his home country and always carried everyone's burden easing the hardship. Finding solutions to every problem, whether difficult or not he thrived on a challenge. "Echale Ganas!" or "No te venzas!" he shouted, which means, "Put in more effort!" and "Dont give up!". Words of encouragement were always the last words leaving his lips at the end of every conversation.
We mourn his departure due to the extensive Fight of Covid-19, lasting 45 days challenging him to the fullest extent. Antelmo Candido Garcia succumbed to his injuries and passed away Friday May, 22, 2020 6 day before is 65th birthday.
We need your help to give a proper farewell to my father, honoring him correctly and we cannot do this alone. Your contribution will go towards purchasing our ability to cremate his remains and also 2 urns. With the funding we receive allows us to travel to his native village in Mexico and rest his remains. The final resting place in Mexico belongs to a long line of Garcias, he will then be set to rest next to his father Roberto Garcia. A small ceremony will then take place at the graveyard with our respected family members. We need you now more than ever and we will return any remaining funds to those in need.
