Veteran Mother and Daughter failed by the VA!

Donation protected
My name is Jessica Miles, I am a US Army Veteran with disabilities and a single mother. My daughter and I are experiencing homelessness because of greed and corruption by non-profit and for-profit entities on Soldiers’ Home. This has caused me to be separated for over 1 year from my only daughter while I live in 64 square foot shed and have to walk through dirt to use porta potties because the cancerous shed we live in doesn’t have water or bathrooms. During this time I have been on a waitlist for Westwood Transitional, the only property for a female Veteran and her daughter on Soldiers’ Home. I am being retailed against by employees at Salvation Army and and the West LA VA. I have since had help from friends and advocates during this difficult time for my family and have security for the next 15 days. Unless Westwood Transitional (Salvation Army) accepts my daughter and I, we will be homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. I have been told there are 2 vacancies by residents currently living there. I've been actively seeking help all the way to congress with no prevail this entire year. I've been physically assaulted twice by VAPD and another veteran while living in the tiny sheds, which have been ignored by WLA VA medical center's entire executive floor and Congressmen Brad Sherman's office. Veterans are being mistreated, neglected and deprived of our resources in hopes we die in LA streets. Please google LA Veterans and help our veterans from these malicious entities. I need all the help we can get during this time to get our transportation sorted and lives situated so that if WLA VA medical center and Westwood Transitional continue the harassment; we have a back up plan. Veterans have resources to help with our vehicles and other emergencies but I'm being refused those resources for over a year now. The retaliation and harassment comes because I have been a Veterans’ advocate for other disabled, homeless, and vulnerable Veterans that are neglected by the WLA VA medical center. Westwood Transitional is on the 900+ acres of Soldiers’ Home that was donated in 1888 in several deeds to the federal government to be permanently maintained as a home for disabled and homeless Veterans and their families. How do mostly non veterans occupy Westwood transitional and pay nothing while Veterans’ are required to pay 30% of their disability? Veterans shouldn’t pay rent on Soldiers’ Home, land donated and an over billion dollar annual federal budget funded to do just maintain it. This is in Los Angeles the Nations Captial Of Veteran Homelessness. We can End Veteran Homelessness lawfully and morally with the federal tax dollars we already spend! Because I share these facts and history is why my daughter and I are being retailed against and VA and their entities are reluctant to help or just blatantly refuse to help. My daughter and I are grateful for any contribution amount and if that’s not possible, you can share and even send this email encouraging the retaliation and harassment to stop. Facts and evidence here. Send petition email here We appreciate your support, thank you.
