I’m the seventh son of seven sons, and growing up, I learned that the most meaningful education doesn’t always happen behind a desk. It happens when someone takes the time to show you what they know. When a seasoned professional passes down real skills, real wisdom, and real confidence.

That’s exactly why I created ApprentiSmith.

What Is ApprentiSmith?

ApprentiSmith is a hands-on apprenticeship and mentorship program that gives young people real-world experience through real client projects — websites, branding, design, video, digital marketing, and more.

We don’t simulate work.

We do the work — side by side with mentors.

Each student walks away with:

A real portfolio project

A resume we help them build

New professional mentors

A stipend for their work

And in many cases, the tools (iPads, laptops, software) they need to keep going

This isn’t charity.

It’s opportunity.

Our Success So Far

NECS (New Era Creative Space) Cohort

Students redesigned a real local company’s brand.

They worked directly with the business owner.

They got paid — and even earned bonuses for going above and beyond.

Peekskill High School STEAM Center Cohort

Students built an entire WordPress website for Cortlandt Colonial.

They pitched concepts, refined their work, and delivered a final site the client still uses today.

Their story was featured on News12, highlighting the power of youth mentorship and real-world learning.

These weren’t mock projects.

They were the real thing — and the students rose to the challenge.
