April's Lyme Disease Story

Late-stage Lyme Disease and numerous co-infections have destroyed my life for over two years and have finally gone to Germany for the state-of-the-art treatment that will help me recover from this devastating illness.
I have been accepted, the Klinik St Georg has reserved a spot for me for the comprehensive three-week In-patient treatment to begin February 13/2020.
The treatment is not covered by Medical Insurance and Government Healthcare as we need to raise $40,000 to cover just the cost of care. We had to apply for a Home Equity loan being that my treatment was scheduled and we were nowhere near close to our Fundraising Goal of $50,000 plus! One of the requirements was to have a companion with me for the entire time I receive treatments, so, my husband Patrick accompanied me, plus not receiving any income as he does not get paid when not working.
I have been very ill for over two years! Where do you go, who do you need to see, what tests do you need? Why am I so sick?
I’ve been poked, prodded, numerous ER visits, X-rays, MRI’s, scans, Specialists, physio, chiropractors, massage therapists, therapists, psychiatrists, dermatologists, general practitioners and the list goes on to be told nothing is wrong, It’s all in your head!!
Taking other measures to no avail and most not covered by health care to having to pay for this out of pocket as no income from employer disability plans. Finally seeing a Naturopath, costing a small fortune just to have blood drawn to finally getting a diagnosis of what was going on, being told I was suffering from late-stage Lyme Disease and 4 different co-infections which was verified by Armin Labs in Germany which specialize in diagnosing Lyme Disease and Tick-Borne Diseases.
There are no Lyme literate MDs who treat Lyme Disease in Canada except one Doctor in Calgary Alberta, who has dedicated himself to treat Lyme patients. I was told he had a 4-year waiting list and a referral was sent only to come back with their office replying he will No longer accept any more patients. I am unable to confirm, but I recently spoke to someone who lives in BC who commutes back and forth to Calgary to see him to find out that by the end of 2020 he will no longer be able to continue to treat patients. General Practitioners do not recognize Lyme and there is no adequate laboratory testing or any treatment in Alberta, Canada.
What do you do if you have no quality of life? You take every exhausting measure to find help!
There are treatment centres with options for treatments in the United States, Mexico, Switzerland and Germany. Costing a small fortune. Not only am I sick but have to struggle with ways to afford proper treatment. I struggle with debilitating symptoms with no quality of life and am desperate for a chance at life again.
Lyme disease is extremely hard to diagnose and treat. Lyme disease is called the great ‘Imitator’ as people are diagnosed as having MS, Lupus, ALS, Fibromyalgia, Bells Palsy, Depression, Anxiety, Parkinson’s Disease and the list goes on.
I have been diagnosed with all of these and more, but all tests, blood work and scans show there is nothing wrong. I suffer from extreme facial pain and migraines with burning, tingling, numbness and stabbing pain throughout my head and face. My eye pain is 24/7 and nothing helps to alleviate the pain. My entire body is in pain with muscle and joint pain. Plus, radiating pinpricks and electric shock. Continuous hair loss which is a telltale sign of the disease. I am in constant pain and spend most of the day in bed. Lyme disease has taken over my life with such anguish with suicidal thoughts and just wanting to be well.
I am in Bad Aibling, Germany @ Klinik St. Georg. Feb. 24/2020 is my 2nd Hyperthermia treatment. I have experienced many different procedures since starting here since Feb. 13/2020 and must say It is definitely ‘No Picnic’ but I keep telling myself and pray that this is the beginning of a brand new, healthy life.
Unfortunately, we did not reach our goal of $50,000.00, but would like to Thank all who have generously donated to Go-Fund Me or private donation, with those donations we almost reach $30,000.00. Anything you could find in your heart to do, whether it be to donate, share my story and with your community, or spread the awareness about the devastation of Lyme disease, we would be eternally grateful. We can’t do this Without You!!
Want to share what the associated costs for my treatment.

About Hyperthermia Treatment and Klinik St Georg
Founded in 1992 as a Cancer facility, the Klinik has treated more than 800 Lyme patients since the year 2000, most of whom have reported significant improvements in their health. Many claim the treatment has cured them, but this cannot be proven until an accurate Lyme Disease test is developed and FDA approved. The comprehensive Lyme Disease protocol includes numerous therapies with the key treatment being hyperthermia. During hyperthermia treatment, the entire body is heated to a target temperature of 106.8 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately six hours. The heat destroys the Lyme spirochetes which have invaded every cell and organ in the patient's body. This twelve-day protocol is followed by a five-day detoxification protocol which includes cleaning the patient's blood plasma.
