Are we Red, White, and F*cked?™

Red, White, and F*cked?™ (@R.W.Fd) is meant to address the polarization in the United States and shed light on the transformative benefits of intentional human connection.

We believe that our divided America is less Red, White, and F*cked than it seems. In fact our goal is to prove that one conversation, one encounter, one smile, has the potential to expose the humanity in us all :)

As an Afro-Latino trans man (Ashton Mota) and a Cis-White Jewish man (Ian Stein) we plan to meet and really live with communities in America that we would likely avoid in our everyday lives. Communities who likely misunderstand us, and who we certainly misunderstand too.

Our promise is to approach these interactions as genuinely as possible: not to change anyone, but to listen, to learn, to love. To show WHO America is not what it is.

Approaching the 2024 Presidential Election, we feel this project and these conversations must happen now! Therefore this summer we plan to travel to, live with, and film our experience in one such community.
