Atlas Apart Needs Help To Record First Album & Meet!

Hello, we are Atlas Apart. Atlas Apart is a band consisting of five members from separate parts of the world including the Brazil, The Netherlands, and the United States. Forming in early 2020, the band focused on posting covers of some of their favourite songs, before transitioning to making original music later that year.

The band write and record everything from their own homes in each country, making this a truly global and collaborative effort. After two years of looking for a vocalist, writing and recording music, the band have now released their first EP!

We as a band have a dream to meet together and record our very first full-length album in a studio together. We have already been hard at work writing tracks for this album and have been quite successful. Still, there is always a variance in quality due to everything being recorded in our homes, not to mention the massive amount of time it takes to bounce ideas back and forth due to different time zones and internet speeds.

Our World EP was a project full of ups and downs, but we have learned a lot about who we are as a individuals and who we are together, virtually... We would love to have the experience that many other bands have when it comes to being a band. Eat, drink, sleep, live in the studio. Together, as one.

The money would help us get started by purchasing plane tickets from each country to meet in one specific location. Due to each of us being in vastly different places, it's so small expense. Any money that is left over after purchasing the plane tickets would go towards housing, accommodations with food and other basic necessities, and most importantly: studio time.

At this time, there is not much we can offer in response to any donation other than our sincere gratitude. Hopefully our music that we create from this experience will be well worth it for you and all those who listen. We will provide updates as we go along with our campaign and appreciate each and every one of you who have been there to support us since Day 1.

How will the money be used?

We will of course try our best to plan the trip in the cheapest months possible, but these are our current expectations as of 25th July 2024

Because we all live far away from each other in different countries, most of the money will have to go to flights (and, if necessary, visas + vaccinations). For 5 members to fly one place prices vary but in general this will sum up to an average of 3500 dollars if we meet up in one of our hometowns.

We would preferably stay in one of our own houses to save a lot of money there, but since none of us live directly in a city with recording possibilities there is a big chance of having to pay for accommodation which will sum up to about 2300 dollars

We would have to rent a studio and/or practice room, this price is only on request for most places, as it depends on a lot of things but for a small studio this will come down to 5000 dollars for a week.

Of course while together we also need to take band photos and make music videos. Luckily we have a lot of worldwide connections thanks to our jobs and we can save some money on it, but still it will come down to about 700 dollars.

Other than that we also need to eat, travel to the locations and pay for the actual production of the album. For this we have budgeted 3500 dollars.

This budget is very narrow already but we aim to do everything as cheap as possible as we can. We have got a lot of experience with the creation of our EP and know what costs a lot of time and where we can save time. This way we aim to keep the costs as low as possible, while keeping the dream alive.
