Ava Carrodus' recovery fund

Ava Carrodus This fundraiser for Ava Grace Carrodus, she is a beautiful, brave, and sweet 6 year old little girl. The fund
is to help with medical, rehab, and physical therapy bills. As well as lawyer fees and to help the family with other costs. Ava was one of four people who were hit by an inebriated driver on Halloween night while trick or treating In Vancouver Wa.  She was  critically injured and sent to Randall Children's Hospital At Legact Emanuel Portland, Or. Where she spent the first few days of her week long stay in the pediatric intensive care unit in critical condition on a ventilator. Ava is thankfully now on her long road to recovery, she's a tough , strong willed little girl, who has shown more bravery at her young age then most adults could ever hope to muster. But underneath all of that courage is a scared and confused little girl. Even though she has no memory of the actual accident,( due to the brain injury she suffers from) it has still traumatized her to the point of not being able to leave her house.  Before the accident there was very little that scared her, but at times now she is terrified to the point of breakdown. And on numerous occasions has needed to take medication for anxiety. Ava has also shown other signs of trauma. On a daily basis she struggles with short term memory loss, and mood swings with long periods of extreme sadness and crying.  Ava's family has had to explain repeatedly what happened to her and her friends that night. But she always wants to know why it happened to her?  Which is a question that no on can answer. It has obviously been a really confusing and scary time for Ava Grace, but she isn't the only victim. So many lives were effected, and so many people were hurt. Not just  Ava's family, friends, and school mate's, were devastated by this event.  But also anyone who heard, watched or read the story were also effected, even strangers can empathize with the family. Because it really could have been anyone's grandchild, daughter, or sister. Im asking for anyone who can donate to do so. Because anything would help Ava and her family. The goal is to help take care of as much of the bills and treatment as possible, so hopefully there will be enough left over for Ava's family to be able to do something really special for her. To give her a woderful experience to remember from this awful situation.
