Axes & Amps: Blending Games and Music with Cartoons

Axes & Amps is a Dungeons and Dragons-inspired, battle of the bands show with a choose-your-own-adventure aspect that's chosen through Patreon subscribers. The decisions of those on Patreon dictate the story direction. Choices such as, who is in the main party, which character's backstory we explore, and how missions are approached, are all picked by the viewers. This open-world concept aims to bridge the thrill of playing games such as Baldur's Gate and Skyrim, with the relaxing experience of enjoying your favorite music or cartoon.

What we have so far:

14 Characters: our main party, our main villains in the first season, and a party of side characters that we will run into often throughout the series, as well as our wise and all-knowing Griffen.

2 Backgrounds: our main town the show starts off in and the outskirts of town are both completed.

Special effects: most attack effects have been created and currently going through the testing phase.

Sound Design: We have the LEGENDARY Barry Leitch creating our main band's music as well as any sound fx we need!! It's an absolute honor to type those words.

Band(s): Lords of the Trident

I am also insanely taken aback that Lords of the Trident are allowing us access to their entire library of music for the production and promotion of this series! Alongside that, their likeness has been cartoon-i-fied and The Broters of Cain will be recurring characters in the series!!

What we need:

$1800* to finish the character art for the people in the main village.

$800 to secure all background art not yet gathered

$1400 for voices (estimated)

$1000 advertising the first few episodes to increase viewership.

*note this cost is for 1 angle each, we are waiting on Adobe's "Project Turntable" to drop, which will cut character art production cost down by 3/4ths or more! Any amount gained over the initial $5000 will go to the early creation of these angles in an attempt to increase the quality of advertisements.

Future plans:

I have reached out to several bigger-name musicians and voice actors I hope to have in this series. As I hear back the final total may be updated to reflect securing their participation in the first season of this series. This also goes for any script writers, other voice actors, and other currently unforeseen necessities to the production of this animation series.
