Eagle project - BI Ferry Flagpole Replacement

Hello! I'm a Freshman at Bainbridge High seeking $10,000 in donations toward my Eagle scout project to replace the flagpole at the BI ferry terminal. This is one of the first sites people see on the island and something we should be proud of. The current flagpole is 65 years old and in very worn condition. In honor of the current memorial there for Mr. Walter Keys (1882-1957), we have also formed the Special Keys Memorial Committee of 2022, including Mr. Keys' family, to make decisions on other improvements to the area. There is some discussion of renaming the area as “Servant’s Circle” to recognize and inspire the many ways we can all serve our country and community throughout our lives, as Mr. Keys did, but no decision has been made. * The beneficiary for my project is Washington State Ferries.
