BUSI: Save a Life in Israel with AFMDA
Tax deductible
On the morning of October 7th, at 6:30 am, a somber anniversary was marked—the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War coinciding with the holy day of Simchat Torah. However, this year, it was marred by a tragic incident. Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel and unleashed a wave of violence upon innocent civilians.
Since that fateful day, Hamas has launched more than 5,000 rockets indiscriminately into Israel, causing the loss of over 1,300 lives, leaving more than 3,000 people severely injured or traumatized, and abducting over 150 civilians. These heinous acts of terror have left in their wake a trail of shattered families, reduced to poverty, homelessness, and despair. Moreover, the strain on Israeli hospitals is overwhelming, and the need for additional medical equipment to treat the injured civilians is pressing.
In the face of this tragedy, we, the Boston University Students for Israel Club, are reaching out with a heartfelt appeal. We are dedicated to raising funds to support the families affected by these devastating events. The proceeds from our campaign will be channeled to American Friends of Magen David Adom in Israel, an organization working on the ground ti treat injured and ill people affected in Israel. Donations ensure 33,000 paramedics, EMTS, first responders and first aid providers have the training, equipment, and medical supplies they need to save lives
We want to emphasize that your donation is not directed towards any specific political cause. Instead, it is a gesture of compassion and solidarity with families who have lost loved ones, including women, children, and the elderly. Your contribution will help provide essential medical assistance and support to the civilians who are battling for their lives in Israel right now.
We invite you to join us in this humanitarian effort and make a difference in the lives of those who are suffering. Your generosity will bring comfort and hope to those who need it most during these trying times.
Thank you for your compassion in the face of adversity.
With warm regards,
