Baby Malak's Life-Supporting Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Welcome!
To get directly to the point: Money is urgently needed to repair baby Malak's heart.
I believe in a world where we can connect in compassionate ways that ultimately enhance our shared human experience. You are a part of that world! Thank you for your compassion in listening to our story and sharing generously to support the remarkable life of Baby Malak.
Six months ago, Malak was born in a city hospital in Kigali, Rwanda, in Eastern Africa. She was hospitalized for the first month of her life to address low oxygen levels in her blood. It was later discovered that she was born with two large holes in her heart that will require surgery as soon as possible. Unfortunately, at this time, there are many barriers to this type of surgery in Africa, and there is nowhere on the continent for her to receive treatment. (A surgery that would be commonplace if she was born here in the United States!)
After many prayers, her parents have found a hospital in Paris that will offer Malak the surgery for a "reasonable" price. Her parents will require visas, round-trip airfare, and accommodations for this surgery to be possible. Any funds raised will pay for this life-supporting surgery and added expenses.
So whether you are looking for a meaningful cause for your annual giving, are feeling extra abundant today, justify it as skipping your drive-thru fix for the month, or simply have a soft-spot for adorable babies, we welcome your generous donation.
Please share this request far and wide with your friends, family, and social network. Every little bit helps. Your prayers matter. Your donation matters. Malak's life matters.
