Our request form is live HERE.
Please share with any organisations that need face shields so we can start creating an organised list of those in demand and get orders into the hands of the people.
We are raising funds to pay for the production of 11,000 + face shields to protect Covid-19 front line workers in the UK.
With your support... We will aim to provide enough for up to three London hospitals where there is a growing need.
The Updated World Health Organization guidelines recommend all health care workers to wear a full gown and visor face shields. Healthcare staff are the most at risk during the current covid19 and do not have all the right resources nor supply to protect everyone as things stand.
In collaboration with healthcare design studio Cellule, we have designed and produced an optimised face shield design, partnering with clinical staff.
Batch Shield is a collaborative effort between Julien Vaissieres at Batch Works, Milo Mcloughlin-Greening and Salome Bazin at Cellule Studio.
We have the current capacity to produce thousands of shields in our central London Microfactory. All we need is some start up money to buy production materials to produce the first batch, and to package face shields safely, in a sterilised way for delivery.
We have a shield design that has been produced specifically for a high quality and quick turn around. The Batch.shields will be printed at the Batch.works facility that fulfils orders of up to 10,000 parts on a regular basis. We have a team made up of designers with specific skills in the field of localised and distributed manufacture and will thus be able to support the growing shortage in UK hospitals.
Disposable model Batch.shield Light - BSL01:
Reusable model Batch.shield Heavy - BSH01:
Every step of the process is following the NHS health and safety guideline and COVID19 hygiene protocol
Each mask will be batch tracked and labeled as it is packaged so that every step of the process can be tracked from machine to delivery. The mask consists of a 3D printed plastic part that can be easily disinfected, a disposable rubber band and foam tape.
The funds we are raising will go towards:
-Material to make laser cut visors
-Elasticated Headbands
-Sterile Packaging
-Reliable Shipping
-All will be used to produce more masks
We will be donating our own material for the 3D printed parts of the mask and volunteer our time for design, production and assembly. We will also welcome the help of extra volunteers in the assembly.
We are proud to partner with Pedal Me for local distribution.
