Bay Area to Line 3 - Treaty People delegation

The Indigenous-led resistance to the Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota is galvanizing the climate justice and water protector movement. This June Indigenous water protectors are calling on allies from across the country to come to Anishinaabe treaty land (Minnesota) for the Treaty People Gathering  - a 3-day encampment of education, training, relationship-building, and mass direct action.

We aim to raise $10,000 to support a Bay Area delegation to the Treaty People Gathering to take action against the Line 3 tar sands pipeline. 

A network of activists and allies from across the Bay Area are mobilizing to respond to this call and come to the frontlines of fossil fuel resistance. We are coordinating with multiple organizations, affinity groups, and individuals who are making the trek - and recognize that financial barriers are limiting the participation of who can join. We hope that with your financial help we can ensure a more equitable and accessible opportunity to support the Treaty People Gathering.

Funds raised would create stipends to assist in the transportation costs for the Bay Area delegation, equipment and camping supplies, and related materials. Any unused funds would go directly to ongoing indigenous resistance efforts in Minnesota against the Line 3 pipeline.
