Help BeBe Get Her Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
UPDATE ON 30 MAY 2023
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for all your donations. Your support and generosity enabled Bea to go through the best possible surgeries that were available for her.
Despite all the efforts and attempted surgeries they were unable to stop the progression of this aggressive disease leaving no other medical options.
Bea got just enough strenght to be escorted back to her family in London from Madrid to spend her remaining time in peace with her loved ones whilst receiving palliative care/end of life support to manage pain, sickness and agitation both at home and at the local hospice.
It’s with great sadness to announce that after a long and challenging period she passed away at 13:59 UK time yesterday.

Hi, I'm BeBe.
I'm a mum to my beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Luna, and a wife to my loving husband, Imre. My family means everything to me, and I want nothing more than to be there for them for years to come.
While I was able to, I worked in the field of human-centered innovation and loved using my skills to make a positive impact on the world. My other passion was making jewellery, and I specialised in creating upcycled pieces for less environmental impact.
That was until my life took an unexpected turn in 2021 when I collapsed in the park during a routine run. The subsequent scan revealed something unusual around my ovaries. After major surgery, my ovaries, fallopian tube, omentum, and appendix were removed (triggering clinical menopause), and doctors confirmed the presence of a rare and aggressive type of stage 4 appendix cancer (Goblet Cell Adenocarcinoma) that also spread to my peritoneum which can’t be removed.
After surgery, I started my treatment through the NHS and had folfox and folfiri chemos for over a year. However, my condition started deteriorating and I spent the last 3 months in various hospitals being treated for things like ascites (huge amount of fluid caused by cancer), dangerously low weight and unbearable pain. I'm in a very vulnerable situation with no treatment options offered in the UK. Time is now of the essence to do everything we can to get the treatment I desperately need.
These life-saving cytoreduction + HIPEC procedures are only offered to me at Hospital Viamed Santa Elena in Madrid, and they're expensive. Without these, my chance of survival is 0. The clinic provides a holistic approach and service including tailored IV and solid nutrition and rehabilitation pre- and post-surgery. The cost of each procedure and related services ranges between 11-40,000 EUR, and I need several of them, so my medical bills add up to well over 100,000 EUR. But the financial burden doesn't end there. I also need to cover travel costs, hospital stays, and special supplements and medication.
Here's a breakdown of my treatment plan and associated costs:
1 x PIPAC 11,000 EUR
Pre-surgery rehab 6,500 EUR
Stage 1 Cytoreduction + HIPEC surgery 38,000 EUR
Pre-surgery rehab 6,500 EUR
Stage 2 Cytoreduction + HIPEC surgery 38,000 EUR
Travel costs, special supplements & meds 10,000 EUR
TOTAL 110,000 EUR ~ 100,000 GBP
+GoFundMe takes 2.9% + 0.25 GBP per transaction
GRAND TOTAL £103,000 GBP
As a cancer patient and a mother, I'm fighting for my life and for the chance to continue being there for my family. Thanks to them, I have the mental strength and courage to overcome any challenge that comes my way. But I need your help too! This is a matter of life or death, and the financial obstacles we're facing are significant. With your support, I can continue to receive the care I need to fight this cancer and come out on top. Every donation, no matter how small, does make a huge difference.
Thank you for your support, and for being part of my journey.
