Help Alan & Danielle (3 Kids) BEAT Cancer 2nd Time
My name is Louisa Drouet and I am hoping we can help my incredible and very special friend Danielle Phelan (50 - brain cancer and stroke survivor) and her husband Alan Phelan (53) NOW beat colon cancer so he can live to see their three boys graduate and grow into adults.
I cannot remotely grasp what it would be like to be young parents going thru brain cancer, then a stroke due to treatment for the brain cancer, and now a vicious colon cancer. The physical and emotional strain of all of this is horrendous, not to mention financially draining.
So thank you for taking time to read about what they're going thru, and THANK YOU so much for considering donating. This is a family that definitely deserves as break, support, and infinite love.
During 9/11, Danielle was a first responder helping to save hundreds of people. However, due to being exposed to extreme toxins during that time, she developed an extremely rare brain cancer requiring two surgeries, chemo, and radiation. She BEAT it! She and her husband ALSO paid all their medical bills and other debt on their own while still being devoted parents to their three boys. But now Alan has an extremely aggressive Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He's received a variety of chemos, and continues to receive chemo treatments while still working fulltime. However, the cancer is quickly progressing and bills are again rapidly stacking up, and he and Danielle are both beyond worn out.
Danielle is doing all she can to keep her family above water, mentally and physically, but as one can imagine, she is terrified she is losing the love of her life whom she says they have a fairytale relationship, marriage, and family.By Danielle, "You are such a huge part of who I am. Not just the man I love, the father of our children, my partner in life. You are my best friend. The person I want to share things with, good and bad. The one I want to hang out with ALL THE TIME! The one I want to see at the end of my day. The one I want to hug and kiss. The one I want holding my hand as I fall asleep."
And now due to her level of stress and being perpetually exhausted, her medical team says her brain is not healing in the way it should be from the stroke she suffered last year.
So, I am asking, pleading, that we come together and help Danielle and her family the way she risked her life to save so many during 9/11. Help her keep her family above water so her husband can rest and have a fighting chance at beating this brutal disease.
No family should ever have to go thru cancer, yet here they are, both parents fighting to be healthy for their three boys. Please give back to them as they have and continue to give to so many others through there professions as psychologists and pure love from their hearts and souls.
Thank you for readying, considering, and your kindness... It means the world to me... and more than Danielle, her husband, and her family can ever express.
