Becky Montoya Funeral Expenses

Born in Lansing in 1964, Becky grew up surrounded by her big family. Cousins and siblings spent much of their lives together, forming strong bonds that carried them through their entire lives. While attending Eastern High School in Lansing, she made more friends, and together they would help each other through the toughest things life can throw at you. While most of her life she lived in Michigan, she also spent a number of years living in Sinton, Texas (from around 2006 to 2012), and developed deep friendships there as well.

Anyone who encountered Becky would tell you that she had a big personality, and a giant heart. If anyone was hurting, she was the first to step in with a hug or a meal, helping however she could.

Becky had many loves in her life, from gardening to baking, puzzles to animals. While working at Meijer early in her life, she found a love of baking and decorating cakes. Baking cakes for every occasion, helped often by her children and husband, she often expressed the joy she felt. Every member of her family has eaten a piece of her cake at one event or another.

Becky worked as a bus driver for nearly all of her adult working years, and took pride in caring for the kids on her buses.

Becky, our friend, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and aunt, passed away on July 15th, five years after her husband Lupe.  Their children, Jeff and Rita, are left to cover the cost of laying Becky to rest, and all of the other expenses that come with the death of a family member. The money donated here will be used to pay for Funeral arrangements and to pay off debts that were left at the time of Becky’s unexpected departure.

Visitation services will be held Saturday June 18th 04:00 - 08:00 PM.  Masks while inside are required by the funeral home and we will be practicing social distancing.
