Benjamin Lloyd Cloer Legacy

Benjamin Lloyd Cloer was senselessly murdered and stolen from us all Nov 10 2019. He was a beautiful, kind, and incredibly accomplished young man. He had big dreams to change the world, which I’m certain he would have achieved. He was set to graduate with a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from UGA December 2019, less than a month away. His next plan was to pursue the DeepMind scholarship at Oxford University for his doctoral studies. His “dream job” was to be a research scientist at DeepMind. Which he was confident this path would have brought him to his goal. This fund is intended to build a lasting legacy for my brother in the form of an academic scholarship Endowment at Pomona College, Claremont, CA where he graduated with a Major in Neuroscience and a Minor in Math. The minimum endowment for a scholarship named for Lloyd forever is $100,000 Pomona is one of the most prestigious colleges in the US and the tuition is high, Lloyd was passionate about learning and equalising the opportunities to have higher education. He would have loved to know he helped countless students bridge the gap and reach their academic goals.
