Benny Viruet

Hi my name is Tashilee, I am starting this fundraiser for my cousin Stephanie, & family for my uncle Benny.

On July 2nd, our family lives changed drastically forever. While getting ready for vacation, packing for a 4th of July get away with his wife Carmen, my uncle Benny passed away suddenly from a heart attack.

To know my uncle is to love my uncle. He was a hard working man, who never complained, was always cracking jokes, blasting salsa music & taking care of his family so gracefully. He was the life of the party, he lit every room he walked into. Someone you can count on for every & ANYTHING. The loudest one in the room but also the one with the biggest heart. Always walking around with a smile on his face, no matter the circumstance. This man would give you the shirt off his back if he had to. Mr. Puerto Rico himself.

He has impacted everyone’s life in such a huge way. This is a traumatic loss for our entire family. Benny would’ve been 64 years old this August. One year shy from retirement. With the hopes and dreams of moving to Florida with his wife, daughter and grandchildren, enjoying the retirement life.

Due to an injury that occurred on the job, my Aunt Carmen is currently on disability, not able to return to work due to the severity of the injury. This is likely to be a permanent situation. My uncle was the sole provider for his family. His passing has left us with a big expense for his funeral. While he did not leave the family empty handed, a lot of those things take time. There is the funeral, with the addition of mortgage payments, car payments, and other various bills to take care of. Any donation will make a huge impact & help cover these expenses.
