Benson's transport to PHILLY PHINALLY!

Hi! Thank you to everyone who was involved in getting the word out about Benson boy. The scared to death pittie hiding away from the world at the shelter he was at. Another misunderstood, terrified dog that has never known a kind human. Special shout out to @standupforpitsfoundation and @sailorrrsarah for posting the urgent cry for help for this boy. I saw their insta reel on him and I got straight to work for his rescue mission.

It is official BENSON has been pulled from the shelter. He is SAFE from DEATH ROW. NO MORE TIMESTAMP ON HIS LIFE! HE IS ALIVE!!!! He was set to be euthanized today at 3 pm PST at SEAACA with no extensions due to him being an aggressive dog and had a reported bite from the people who dumped him at the shelter. Mind you that they found him a stray, took him into their home and immediately had him in with their other dog. He was FAILED, DOOMED to FAIL, NOT SET UP FOR SUCCESS. Who knows if the bite was him. We don't know for sure what happened, but Benson gets a shot at life with RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE now. He needed a commitment by 2 pm. I will update everyone with his long journey ahead. We have no idea what kind of medical attention he will need, he is going to be boarded at a vet tonight, may need a couple more days of boarding until we figure out his transport to Philly. He is also sick and he needs the medical attention so good he is there. He may fly (but we need to get him ready for that, neuter, vaccinations, paperwork, etc.) or I might fly out to get him and road trip back to Philly with him. This is all to ensure that he is in the best hands and whatever decisions are made for his transport are all in the best interest of Benson. Keeping him as comfortable, safe, and the least amount of stress on him is priority in the transport.

How it all unraveled and WHY IT TAKES A VILLAGE IN ALMOST EVERY RESCUE! FOR THESE RESCUES TO HAPPEN, EVERYONE KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND SHARE THE MOST VULNERABLE AND AT RISK DOGS...

I worked through the night and all today on Benson after seeing the insta reel. I called my cousin Faith, who owns Instant Karma Dog Training in CA. She worked her connections in CA. Diane at New Beginnings for Animals Rescue in Mission Viejo was able to go to the shelter to pull him out. She is the real hero!!! If it weren't for Diane no one would have been able to get him today before his timestamp. And now he is safe with us on his road to recovery. Everyone who shared him and commented to help with pledges and transport you are a huge part in this rescue. Please donate whatever you can and honor your pledges to Benson. HE IS SAFE!!!
