Covid Face Shields for Frontline, 3D printed by RN
Donation protected
My name is Matt Behning. I'm a ICU nurse caring for covid 19 coronavirus patients at one of the top three biggest hospitals in MN caring for Covid patients. We're in Minneapolis. I also work in a small ICU in Woodbury.
Hospitals across the metro are out of face shields and down to reusing inferior disposable units over and over. This is dangerous. So I redesigned a current disposable open source shield (by Prusa) into the highest quality reusable face shield possible. All to produce and give away free to front line ICU, ER, etc staff across the metro.
Here's ELEVEN reasons your dollar goes further to produce more of the highest quality field tested face shields out there for the front line free.
1.) 100% proceeds go to 100% face shields. No overhead, no utilities, and no side costs.
2.) Only cost $5 in materials each to produce shields that rival $25+ face shields that are sold out
3.) shields straight from our volunteer run production of many 3D printers to front line. No middle man.
4.) Over twice as strong yet still only a few ounces
5.) Safer! taller shield covers N95 mask for safe reuse and wider to cover the side of face and eyes.
6.) 3x thicker clear shield helps it be stronger and nearly Impossible to Fog. All parts of shield pop on and off for easy replacement.
7.) Comfort all shift long. We wear these 12 hours+ straight. one strap is too tight. So two are used.
8.) Straps are widely stocked tournaquets should they need changing.
9.) No virus harboring foam or cloth straps. fully cleanable smooth surfaces.
10.) growing volunteer team 3D printing production going from dozens produced a week to hundreds.
11.) Daily photos and details updating everyone. Every penny is tracked and greatly valued and respected.
Direct message me on Facebook if you need shields or if you own a 3D printer and want to volunteer in our zero pressure friendly production.
Thank you, -Matt Behning
