Mission Bethel Hospital

"Spartans Without Borders" is a student-led service group at Oak Lawn Community High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois.  It was established in 2004.  Our group is one of dedicated students who have committed themselves to helping others experiencing extreme poverty and neglect.  To date, we have raised over $250,000 for the construction of rural hospitals in both Kenya and Bolivia.

Spartans Without Borders is attempting to raise $30,000 to continue construction of Bethel Hospital in Amachuma, Bolivia.  Our group is doing this because there are many people in Bolivia that are suffering and in need of help.  With your support and prayers, we will continue to make a difference worldwide, helping the less fortunate and contributing to our shared humanity.

Spartans Without Borders first came to be in 2004, when a group of students raised $46,000 to travel to Kenya, Africa.  Since then a number of other groups have focused their attention on Bethel Hospital in Bolivia.  This facility will be the only Level I Trauma Center in the rural highlands.  In 2009, a group laid the foundation for what may have once been a dream: helping to level floors, install a water filtration system and lighting, and clean out a water reservoir.  This cycle of support has continued with additional visits in 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2019.  The hospital now sits nearly 90% complete.  Spartans Without Borders hopes to pay it forward and continue the positive trend established by past students.  Will you help us reach our goal?
