This past year has been very hard for the Beverly Maddson Memorial Food Bank. First we lost our building do to it colapsing and we were blessed with another building to keep our pantry open. Now we face a harder time with our food trucks and donations pickups.. We have been renting uhaul trucks for the past few years each month. We are raising money to help get a food truck for our local food pantry. The Beverly Mattson Memorial Food Bank is a 100 % volunteer-run pantry. It provides food, fresh produce, frozen meats, dairy, deli, bread, pastries, infant formula, baby diapers, toddler pull-ups, adult diapers, ensure, pet food, and paper products to over 900 families with over 2,500 household members monthly. We are feeding the residents of Schuylkill and Berks County and beyond. As a general practice, we don't turn anybody away and as a result, our clientele list is well over 900. This box truck will help the food pantry in many differents way from picking up donations, setting up mobile food pantrys as well getting donations from other locations within Berks, Schuylkill, Carbon Counties. We have family we cant no longer serve due to them not having transportions ect. With a truck we can get to these communities better and get to those in need.. With this we will get a box truck, bus, cargo van, that we use to get our donations to the food pantry and the community.
