Bhante Sujatha\'s Medical Expenses

As part of their culture and spiritual training, monks
will never ask for assistance.
This is hard for many of us in the West to understand as we are not as
familiar with the tradition of dana (the Pali word for giving). And so we as Sujatha's friends are
asking for your help. His hospital
stay and ongoing treatment has lead to significant medical expenses. In addition, he has had to curtail
traveling for speaking engagements, which are his income source. Sujatha will not allow us to use
funds for the new temple to help cover these expenses. What we have done,
hopefully without getting in to much trouble with Bhante, is set up a fund in
his name specifically to raise money to help cover the medical bills. We have a large and diverse group of
people who all care deeply for Sujatha.
Working together, we should be able to wipe out these bills and help
Sujatha resume his work without the additional financial pressures this has
created. Thank you for helping.
