Help Bianchi's Pizza Pad Rebuild!

 

 

 

On Monday night, December 20th, at 8:06 pm, a long-time beloved cornerstone of the Solvay business community--Bianchi's Pizza Pad--was destroyed by a fire originating from a gas hood. Multiple first responders from all over the area rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames within 15 minutes of the call, but the damage was extensive and the shop has been deemed a total loss.

 

We all know how hard the Mangano family has worked for 53 years not only to provide delicious Italian food at unbeatable prices, but to be active and generous members of our Village of Solvay and beyond. It is tragic that they should be faced with such hardship, right before Christmas, and now have to wait indefinitely to rebuild. Solvay cannot afford to lose this heritage restaurant and pride of our Main Street.

 

For all those who have asked, "Is there anything I can do to help?" Here's your opportunity! We would like to raise money to help them rebuild and cover their losses during this trying time. One can only imagine that a family business that provides as affordable family meals as they, and has always given so generously of their time and treasure, must operate on thin margins and will be under a tremendous stress until the time that they can resume their operations. Let us all show the Manganos how grateful we are for their years of service to our community!

All donations will be used to support the Mangano family directly in their efforts to ride out the waiting period while they rebuild their shop.  There is another, offline effort to collect donations to fill stockings for affected employees and the displaced tenants of the shop building.
