Help Demetrius "Bigg" Barnes Recover from Open-Heart Surgery

Dear friends, family, and community,

As many of you know, our beloved cousin, brother and friend Demetrius "Bigg" Barnes, suffered a heart attack last week. He was rushed into emergency open-heart surgery yesterday, and we are grateful to say that he pulled through. However, his road to recovery will be long, as doctors have told us he will need at least 6 to 8 weeks to fully heal.

During this time, Bigg will be unable to work, and he will need assistance with medical expenses, daily living costs, and, most importantly, the care of his children. Demetrius has always been the first to step up when others needed help, whether through his tireless work as a community activist, lead volunteer or just being there for a friend in need. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

We are asking for any support you can provide, no matter how small. The funds raised will go directly to covering his medical bills, ongoing treatments, and the essential needs for his family while he focuses on healing.

Let’s rally around Bigg, the same way he’s always done for so many. Every donation, prayer, and share brings us one step closer to helping him get back on his feet.
