We'd like you to introduce you to Bella, our precious Olde English Bulldogge, who just turned 6 years old this month.
Bella has severe hip dysplasia, as well as osteoarthritis that was recently confirmed by x-ray (see below). We've tried several medications, but none of these can fix the problem. We have consulted two vets and a surgeon, who agree that Bella needs to have total hip replacement surgery (THR) in order to stop her joints & quality of life, from deteriorating prematurely. She's the light of our life & we want to give her the best doggy life we can!

My name is Bella. It means "beautiful".
I hope you enjoyed the video of me with my two kittens, Comet and Saturn. They're all grown up now, and we still love to cuddle.
My family says I'm a very nurturing girl, but now it's my turn to be nurtured. My mom & my grandmom each had surgery in the past 6 months & they said I helped nurse them back to health. I stayed by their sides to give hugs, kisses and comfort whenever they needed it.
I've always loved to run and jump and play, but it hurts more and more to move around.
My family loves me as much as I love them, and they want to do everything they can to help me get back to my playful self. The doctors say I need to have surgery. That sounds scary, but I am staying positive, because they tell me once it's done, I'll have bionic hips. I'll be able to do my tricks again. How awesome is that!

We found a great surgeon at Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern, PA. The cost for one total hip replacement, follow-up appointments, and rehab is estimated at $8000. Bella may need to have the second hip replaced as well, but we won't know for sure until she recovers from the first surgery.
We adore Bella, and are deeply grateful for any financial help you can give us to enable her to have this life-changing surgery.
